What’s a typical day like for you?
The days are typically long and busy. If it’s any different, I think my phone or email is down. I spend most of my days communicating with field operators and internal business partners, preserving our properties, dealing with acquisitions and managing large project rollouts.
What advice do you have for someone just starting out in FM?
Buckle up and hold on. To be honest, I would say communication is key. Whether it’s in the field, with your suppliers or with your own staff, keeping an open line of communication will take you far. Emergencies seem to happen at the worst times — always be ready to react and pivot. The rest is a breeze, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Challenging, rewarding, competitive and ever-evolving.
